Strengthening Frontline’s Commitment to Public Sector Innovation and Long-Term Partnership
Ottawa, ON, August 4, 2025 — Harris Frontline, a division of Harris Computer, is proud to announce that Todd Thompson, Senior Vice President of Strategic Development, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the IJIS Institute. The appointment reflects Frontline’s continued investment in public sector leadership and innovation, as well as its commitment to supporting the long-term success of the companies it acquires.
The IJIS Institute is a nonprofit collaboration network that brings together private and public sector leaders to address the pressing technology, policy, and operational challenges faced by agencies across justice, public safety, health, education, and other mission-driven domains. With this election, Thompson joins a distinguished group of industry leaders charged with shaping the future of public sector information sharing and innovation.
“Thank you to the IJIS membership for the opportunity to serve,” said Thompson. “With over 35 years in public safety, I’m grateful for the chance to give back to a community I care deeply about. From my early days as a deputy sheriff in McLean County, Illinois, to leading innovation in public safety technology at Harris Computer – Frontline, I’ve seen how collaboration and the right tools can truly make a difference.”
He continued, “As a board member, I look forward to working with technology leaders, practitioners, government agencies, and standards organizations to help shape what comes next. If you're building solutions or driving innovation in this space, I welcome the chance to connect and collaborate.”
Harris Frontline acquires and grows software companies that support critical public infrastructure, including law enforcement, local government, education, and healthcare services. Unlike many private equity or short-term buyers, Frontline offers a permanent home for software businesses, prioritizing the well-being of their teams, continuity for their customers, and the sustained development of their products.
“As we continue to invest in the future of the public sector through thoughtful, long-term software stewardship, we’re honored to have leaders like Todd guiding the conversation at a national level,” said Jeff Pugh, Frontline Group Leader. “His appointment to the IJIS Board reinforces the values we share with the organizations we acquire: purpose, stability, and a deep respect for the communities we serve.”
